Vegan Brownies

Ingredients:

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1 cup  Earths Basket Coconut Sugar

1/2 cup Earths Basket Cocoa Powder

1 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp salt

1/2 cup Earths Basket Cacao Butter

1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce

1/2 cup almond milk

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 cup vegan chocolate chips

Method:

STEP 1

Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.

STEP 2
In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt until well combined.

STEP 3
In a separate mixing bowl, whisk together the vegetable oil, unsweetened applesauce, almond milk, and vanilla extract until well combined.
Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.

STEP 4
Fold in the vegan chocolate chips.
Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth out the top.

STEP 5
Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the brownies comes out clean.

STEP 6
Remove the brownies from the oven and let them cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes.
Once cooled, cut the brownies into 12 equal-sized pieces and serve.
