Super Greens Granita

Prep Time: 10  minutes | Cook Time: 4-5 hours | Serves: 3-4 servings

Ingredients:

2 cups water

4 teaspoons Earth's Basket Super Greens powder

Sweetening options:

Option 1: 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup

Option 2: 4-5 pitted dates, soaked in warm water for 10 minutes

Option 3: 1 ripe banana

Juice of 1 lemon

Fresh mint leaves (for garnish)

Method:

STEP 1

In a large mixing bowl, combine the water and Earth's Basket Super Green powder. Stir well until the powder is fully dissolved. Set aside.

STEP 2

Choose one of the sweetening options mentioned above:

Option 1: Add honey or maple syrup to the Super Green mixture and stir until well combined.

Option 2: Drain the soaked dates and add them to a blender. Blend until smooth and add the date paste to the Super Green mixture. Stir well.

Option 3: Peel the ripe banana and add it to a blender. Blend until smooth and add the banana puree to the Super Green mixture. Stir well.

STEP 3

Squeeze the juice of 1 lemon into the mixture and stir to combine all the ingredients thoroughly.

STEP 4

Pour the mixture into a shallow dish or baking pan, ensuring the depth is about 1 inch.

STEP 5

Place the dish in the freezer and let it freeze for about 1 hour.

STEP 6

After an hour, use a fork to scrape the partially frozen mixture, breaking up any ice crystals that have formed. Repeat this process every 30 minutes for the next 2-3 hours or until the mixture is fully frozen and has a granita-like texture.

STEP 7

Once the granita is ready, scoop it into serving bowls or glasses. Garnish with fresh mint leaves.

STEP 8

Serve immediately and enjoy!
