Spiced Cappuccino Delight

1 cup brewed espresso or strong coffee
1 cup milk (dairy or plant-based)
1 teaspoon ground turmeric
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1-2 teaspoons honey or sweetener of your choice (optional)
Star anise powder for garnish
In a small saucepan, heat the milk over medium-low heat until it starts to steam. Do not let it boil.
Add the ground turmeric, cinnamon, ginger, and nutmeg to the saucepan with the milk. Whisk well to combine and dissolve the spices.
Optional: If you prefer a sweeter drink, add honey or your preferred sweetener to the milk mixture and whisk until it dissolves.
Once the milk is heated and well-infused with the spices, use a frother or whisk vigorously to create foam on the surface.
Divide the brewed espresso or strong coffee between two cups.
Pour the spiced milk over the coffee, holding back the foam with a spoon to reserve it for the topping.
Garnish each cup with a sprinkle of star anise powder on top of the foam.
