Moon Milk
Prep Time: 10 minutes | Cook Time: 15 minutes | Serves: 1 serving
Ingredients:
1 cup milk (dairy or plant-based)
1/2 teaspoon Earths Basket Ashwagandha Powder
1/2 teaspoon Earths Basket Turmeric Powder
1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional, for sweetness)
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
A pinch of ground cinnamon (optional)
Method:
STEP 1
In a small saucepan, heat the milk over medium heat until it starts to simmer. Stir occasionally to prevent burning.
STEP 2
Once the milk is simmering, add the ashwagandha powder and turmeric powder. Whisk well to combine the powders with the milk.
STEP 3
Reduce the heat to low and let the milk gently simmer for about 5 minutes, allowing the flavors to infuse. Stir occasionally.
STEP 4
If desired, add honey or maple syrup for sweetness. Stir well until it dissolves.
STEP 5
Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the vanilla extract (if using) for added flavor.
STEP 6
Optional: You can sprinkle a pinch of ground cinnamon on top for additional taste and aroma.
STEP 7
Pour the Moon Milk into a mug and enjoy it warm before bed to promote relaxation and restful sleep.
Note: Ashwagandha and turmeric can have a strong taste, so feel free to adjust the quantities to your liking. You can also experiment with other spices like ginger or cardamom for extra flavor.
